Sample Configurations
Point to Point
The most basic of configurations, when one intercom talks, all intercoms on the system will hear. In order to talk, simply depress theTalk/Listen switch and speak into the speaker/microphone.
Master / Slave
This configuration maintains the Slave unit(s) in a default Talk mode for hands free operation and the Master in default Listen mode. For the Master to talk to the Slave the operator depresses theTalk/Listen switch on the Master unit and talks into the speaker/microphone. The Slave unit is automatically switched to a Listen mode. When the switch is released on the Master, it returns to Listen mode and the Slave returns to Talk mode.
Point to Speaker
This configuration requires either the intercom or the speaker be equipped with an additional amplifier. In the configuration of the non-amplified speaker the intercom must be equipped with the (-8) option Pre-Amp in order to drive the speaker. A (-M44) option, Remote Volume control can also be added for additional control. In the configuration of the amplified speaker, as the name indicates, the amplifier is on-board the speaker. The speaker is in a default Talk mode and the intercom is in a default Listen mode. In order for the intercom to talk via the speaker the operator must depress theTalk/Listen switch. When the switch is release, the intercom returns to Listen mode and the speaker returns to Talk mode.
Point to point (panel mount)
This configuration requires either the intercom or the speaker be equipped with an additional amplifier.
